TORONTO, Oct. 15, 2026 /CNW/ -- Next Edge Capital Corp. ("Next Edge" or the "Manager") is pleased to announce the closing of the initial public offering (the "Offering") of Next Edge CIA Disciplined Growth Portfolio (the "Fund"). Pursuant to the Offering, the Fund issued an aggregate of 35,600 Class A Units and 4,464,400 Class F Units (collectively, the "Units") for gross proceeds of $45,000,000.

The Units were issued at a price of $10.00 per Class A Unit and $10.00 per Class F Unit. Following the closing of the Offering, the Class A Units were reclassified as Class F Units based on their respective NAV per Unit such that, currently, only Class F Units are outstanding. The Class F Units are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "PCD.UN".

The Fund has granted the Agents (as defined below) an over-allotment option, exercisable in whole or in part for a period of 30 days following the closing of the Offering, to purchase additional Class F Units in an amount up to 15% of the aggregate number of Class A Units and Class F Units issued under the Offering, at a price of $10.00 per Class F Unit.

The Fund seeks to provide holders of Units with long-term capital appreciation and excess returns relative to a benchmark, comprised 50% of the S&P/TSX Composite Index and 50% of the Dow Jones U.S. Total Stock Market Index, by investing in a portfolio (the "Portfolio") comprised primarily of publicly-traded North American equity securities which the Manager believes will outperform its benchmark while maintaining lower volatility and reducing downside participation during market declines

The Fund will seek to achieve its investment objectives by deploying a "GARP" or "growth at a reasonable price" strategy through a Portfolio comprised primarily of publicly-traded equity securities of North American issuers representing a wide range of industries, capitalization sizes, and sources of return, which the Manager believes have durable earnings growth, sound fundamentals, attractive valuations, quality management and sustainable competitive advantages. The Fund will seek to generate consistent alpha through disciplined fundamental research, portfolio construction, and active risk management.

The Offering was led by National Bank Financial Inc. as bookrunner and includes iA Private Wealth Inc. as an agent (collectively, the "Agents").
